This is not your average cheap mini chopper kit. The frame and most of the components are hand-fabbed and the frame is high quality TIG-welded steel tube built on a jig- just like a scaled down custom chopper. Front forks, triple trees, and risers are solid billet aluminum. The tank is from a Harley Davidson Sportster, as is the working headlight, handle bars, grips, mirror, pegs, and chain guard. Tail light and turn signals are not wired, but could be if desired. All in all, theres about $3500.00 worth of parts and paint.
Only a couple cosmetic issues- The custom seat has some small scrapes at the front end, chrome on handle bar is pitting, and front wheel has developed some surface rust. Just cheap chrome I suppose since this bike has always been garaged.
The frame was constructed with adults in mind, so I do not recommended it for anyone under about 53 due to the stretch of the frame. Wheel to wheel, its roughly the same length as an H-D Wide Glide. Its also not street legal- and no, I do not know if it could be modified to be.
Drivetrain:
6hp electric start Tecumsah w/chrome kit. Engine has been tuned, but is mechanically stock.
No gears, it has a belt drive torque converter system linked by chain to a jackshaft that drives a second chain that connects to the rear gear. Might be hard to picture, but with this system you get the best of both worlds- bottom end torque and top end speed. The bike has been geared with a large rear sprocket to keep the speed down (about 35), but it could be easily re-geared to go much faster. The front brake is drum, but the rear is hydraulic disc.
The paint was sprayed by a professional motorcycle painter and is excellent quality basecoat/clear. There are a few minor chips in the paint on the frame, but none are noticeable without being pointed out and there are no imperfections on the fenders or tank.
There are no mechanical issues whatsoever, its ready to have fun and ride.
$1100.00 obo, or possibly interesting trades.
