KTM 640 Adventure R. Year 2000 13K, registered with CA plates.

This bike needs a home. Currently it is kept in Malibu where I have ridden it on weekends but would like someone who has a place to keep it and enjoy it.

The thing is awesome and great fun to ride. I’ve had a lot of responses on previous posts and a few dead beats. I’ve lowered the price for real buyers who can get into a KTM for not much money and if you want you can put a few bucks into making it like new.

As is, the bike is clean and recently tuned up and ready to ride. The main thing is overall the plastics are worn and things like the plastic choke slider won’t stay put, but these are minor things that I would easily replace if I were keeping the bike. the only mechanical issue I see is the electric starter works but feels like it will need to be looked at soon. but the good old kick start works just fine.

Suspension is Precision concepts and the exhaust is custom Akrapovic which gives the LC4 engine that awesome thumping roar.

KTM 640 Adventure R. Owned this bike for about a year and a half. It’s a 2001 with 13K, registered with CA plates. I had a reputable shop go over it for a few weeks. They fully tuned it up, cleaned and jetted the carb, changed fluids and put on some new things like chain and gear sprocket, hand grips, voltage regulator, YUASA battery, stator, throttle cable and some other mechanical things. It has a custom Akrapovic exhaust, Precision Concepts suspension. I rode it this weekend and it sounds like the electric starter may need some work. Also the plastics are getting old and the choke adjust plastic is worn and the choke will slide as you ride, so these things you’ll inherit when you buy it.

The bike is in Malibu and cash only.

I did not redo the seat or plastics which could use some love, but fundamentally this bike rocks. It has a custom Akrapovic exhaust which really thunders, Precision Concepts suspension, and overall this bike handles as hard as you can take it.

I love this thing and I’m selling it because I no longer have a place to maintain it and don’t want to risk keeping it outside. The bike is currently in Malibu and I have a clean CA title in hand.
